[origin: EP1586354A1] The binding has on the sole side between the engagement element (15) and the front sole end (13) a projection (22) which can be brought to bear against a stop (23) on the binding side so that the boot (11) is held in engagement with the engagement element on the binding side whilst at the same time can execute a tilt movement (24) about an imaginary cross axis behind the stop or projection, especially between the projection and the engagement element. The engagement element on the binding side and the attached boot can swivel up against the action of a coil compression spring (19). Independent claim describes boot fitted with this binding.
