Abstract (en)

A papermaking assembly has a drying station with a heated cylinder under a pressure hood. The wet fibre web feeds between the cylinder and hood. The drying cylinder is coated with a substance that promotes detachment of the paper from the drum. The drying cylinder is a porous layer of ceramic material (10) or a hydrophobic spray-on medium. The hydrophobic medium is sprayed (11) onto the drum from below. In an alternative embodiment the dried web is lifted from the heated drum by a suction assembly.

Abstract (de)

<IMAGE>
