Abstract (en)
The method involves compressing air fed into an internal combustion engine by a compressor of an exhaust gas turbocharger. Charging air-pressure at an outlet of the compressor is adjusted as desired by an actuator (10), which is controlled based on an adjustable exhaust gas counter pressure in an exhaust gas system. The counter pressure is subjected to limits, which are accomplished based on the rotation speed of a turbine of turbocharger. An independent claim is also included for a device for operating an internal combustion engine.

Es werden ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Betreiben einer Brennkraftmaschine (1) vorgeschlagen, die eine maximale Beschleunigung ohne Wirkungsgradverlust eines Abgasturboladers ermöglichen. Die Brennkraftmaschine (1) umfasst einen Verdichter (5) eines Abgasturboladers zur Verdichtung der der Brennkraftmaschine (1) zugeführten Luft und ein Stellglied (10) zur Einstellung eines Sollladedruckes am Ausgang des Verdichters (5). Das Stellglied (10) wird in Abhängigkeit eines einzustellenden Abgasgegendruckes in einem Abgasstrang (25) der Brennkraftmaschine (1) angesteuert. <IMAGE>
