Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004067826A1] The invention relates to a voluminous, textile, multi-layered fabric, especially a unilaterally mesh-layered non-woven fabric comprising pile fibres and/or pile fibre loops (24, 25) and at least one pile fibre layer (22), said pile fibres having essentially the same length and with respect to the cross-section thereof, are anchored and protrude from the cross-section thereof (21) in a predominately vertical to diagonal manner. The free ends of the pile fibres and/or pile fibre loops are clamped in a fixed manner in a closed functional layer (26). The functional layer (26) is arranged at a distance from the fabric cross-section (21). The invention also relates to a method for the production of fabric in addition to the use thereof.
