[origin: DE10303177A1] Method for aligning a prefabricated part (1) in a rigid roadway or track, whereby a measurement instrument, especially a tacheometer or theodolite (4) is set on a first polygon point and aligned with a target point. A number of target points on the prefabricated part are then measured and compared with set values. The prefabricated part is then aligned based on the difference between actual measured positions and set positions. An Independent claim is made for a measurement device with at least a measurement prism for aligning a prefabricated part.
