[origin: WO2004068166A1] The invention relates to an optoelectronic sensor module for measuring the displacement of an object which is displaced relative to the sensor module. Said sensor module comprises a radiation source (42) for illuminating the displaced object (30) by means of radiation of a signal wave length, a feedback device (44) for injecting one part of the radiation reflected by the displaced object (30) into the radiation source (42), a detector element (46) for receiving one part of the radiation of the radiation source (42) reflected by the displaced object (30), and an evaluation device (48) for determining the relative movement of the object and a sensor module based on characteristic properties of the radiation detected by the detector element (46). According to the invention, the radiation source is formed by a surface emitting laser with a vertical standing resonator (42).
