Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1588965A1] The method for the position monitoring of a sheet (36) transported in a folding machine entails determining by a sensing device (32,34,36) the positions of a sheet edge (39) extending in the transporting direction (TR) and transmitting the measured values to a processor unit which calculates a measurement curve on the basis of the recorded value and path of the sheet through the sensing point. The measurement curve is compared with a reference curve and an error signal is sent out by the processor unit if there is any deviation between the curves.
