In a process to start up a spinning machine with a number of motors, a comparative signal (i(1) is fed to a comparative circuit (30) from a frequency inverter (10). The signal (i(1) represents the current that is fed to an accelerating synchronised motor (M1). A second frequency inverter (20) feeds a reference current (i(REF) representing the signal (i(REF) that is fed to the comparative circuit (30 : The comparative circuit compares the two incoming signals for frequency and phase length. When the signals reach an identical condition the accelerating motor (M1) is switched from the first inverter (10) to the second inverter (20).

Insbesondere für Spinnmaschinen werden eine Mehrzahl von Synchronmotoren (M2, M3, ..) von einem Maschinenfrequenzumrichter (10) parallel und synchron mit Energie versorgt. Um einen einzelnen Synchronmotor (M1) hochfahren zu können, ist ein weiterer Frequenzumrichter (10) erforderlich. Die vorliegende Erfindung offenbart ein Verfahren zur synchronen Umschaltung (S0, S1, S2) auf einen für den stationären Betrieb vorgesehenen Frequenzumrichter (20), das keine Motor-individuelle Sensormittel an den einzelnen Motoren (M1, M2, ..) erfordert und bei dem die Frequenzumrichter (10, 20) nach dem Pulsweitenverfahren betrieben sind. Das Verfahren beruht auf dem Vergleich (30) eines stationären Stromes (iRef) mit dem dem hochlaufenden Motor (M1) zugeführten Strom (i1). <IMAGE>
