Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004069569A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for wheel-camber adjustment of commercial vehicles, especially wheeled building machines, with which excavations can be carried out, especially on uneven ground. According to the invention, the camber angle is automatically adjusted according to at least one driving parameter. The driving parameters, such as the axle swing angle, the steering angle, the lateral force on the vehicle wheels of the front axle and the gradient of the building machine are detected by sensors and the output signals thereof feeds an electronic control unit as input parameters. According to the adjustment signal of the electronic control unit, the camber-angle is automatically adjusted by means of a camber-cylinder and a wheel pivot unit according to pregiven control strategies. Also, the automatic wheel-camber adjustment is configured in such a manner that it can be manually operated as can the camber-cylinder.
