Abstract (en)
[origin: DE10304764B3] The onboard electrical network has 2 vehicle batteries (BS,BB) with identical battery voltages which are connected in series across a starter (S) and a generator (G), with a switching device (U) between the batteries coupled to a control device (2) for the onboard electrical network, allowing the onboard electrical network to be supplied from one of the batteries upon failure of the generator or the DC/DC converter (1), the batteries connected in parallel in an emergency starting mode.
