The air expulsion device (10) for consolidating the web layers and regulating the amount of air trapped in between them comprises a number of adjacent segment rolls (11) with their opposite ends mounted via bearing units (12) on a support profile (13) extending the width of the machine. The bearing units have a counter-bearing (14) and a resilient bearing (15) on the profile side. The counter-bearing is a hinge bearing. The resilient bearing is a preferably closed spring system, preferably a coil or leaf spring, or a preferably closed damping unit, preferably a shock absorber, or a controllable hydraulic or pneumatic piston unit.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Wickelmaschine (1) zum kontinuierlichen Aufwickeln einer Materialbahn (2), insbesondere einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn, auf einen Tambour (3) zu einer Wickelrolle (4), mit einer Tragtrommel (5), die mit der Wickelrolle (4) einen Nip (7) bildet, mit einer mindestens eine Transporteinrichtung umfassenden Lagerung, die den Tambour (3) entlang einer bevorzugterweise horizontalen Führungsbahn (9) führt, und mit einer im unteren Bereich der Wickelmaschine (1) angebrachten Luftabquetschvorrichtung (10), die bei Erreichen einer gewünschten Schichtdicke (S) an die Wickelrolle (4) mittels mindestens einer Bewegungseinrichtung anlegbar ist. Die Wickelmaschine ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die anlegbare Luftabquetschvorrichtung (10) aus mehreren nebeneinander gelagerten Segmentrollen (11) besteht, die jeweils stirnseitig mittels Lagereinheiten (12) auf einem maschinenbreiten Trägerprofil (13) angeordnet sind, wobei die Lagereinheiten (12) profilseitig jeweils eine Gelenklagerung (14) und eine nachgiebige Lagerung (15) aufweisen. <IMAGE>
