[origin: EP1593315A1] The heel cap (12) of the shoe (10) is only joined to the sole with its lower edge and fitted with two vertically inserted reinforcing elements (1). The elements (1) can be rotated around a transversal axle (14) when a control unit located at the rear of the sole is operated. The control unit is assembled of control element (2) joined with a lever (3) to the reinforcing elements (1) and a locking unit comprising two linear moving parts and a pin. When a weight acts on the control element (2) the pin is clamped in between the locking elements and the lever (3) pulls the heel cap (12) into an upright position.
