Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1593503A2] The flat film embossing machine (1) draws film webs (6) from rolls (7), to be carried over a flat embossing table (3). A brake and guide wall (10) is in front of the embossing station, and film advance units (9) are after it. The wall has a carrier surface layer (11) to support an air permeable fabric laying layer (12) together with a flat underpressure chamber (17) and an adjustable underpressure source (13). The action forces the film against the wall and brakes its movement to give a controlled passage through the embossing station.
