Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1594201A1] The plug has a counter-electrode (15), for each of two high voltage electrodes (11), connected to a ground electrode (16) and inserted in an insulating body. An end of the electrode (16) is placed at the plumb of a pin of the corresponding electrode (11) to generate sufficient amplification of the electric field at the pin end level to spout an ignition spark towards the electrode (16) while applying high voltage to the electrode (11). An independent claim is also included for a cylinder head of a combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
