[origin: EP1594343A2] The hearing aid (H) is inserted in the user's ear and has a large switch element (A). A directional microphone is mounted in the switch element and may be arranged to point directly forward on a horizontal axis. The microphone on each side is electrically connected via a hearing aid chip to a miniature loudspeaker. When the user is using a telephone, the switch on each side is turned to point diagonally downward and a Bluetooth (RTM) chip is connected to the hearing aid chip. It uses an antenna to transmit and receive signals.
