Abstract (en)
The smoke and mist detector device (10) has a closed chamber (14) with grilles at the ends (15,16) to admit smoke. A circuit board (18) at the bottom of the chamber supports a box (22) with an opening (24), containing a photosensor (20). A LED (28) for indirect illumination of the chamber is mounted under a chamfered opening (26) in the circuit board. Light from the LED may reach the photosensor by being scattered from smoke and mist particles. There is a temperature sensor (30) adjacent to the chamfered opening in the circuit board.

Verfahren zur Erfassung und Meldung von Rauch mit Hilfe einer optischen Anordnung in einen Meldergehäuse, wobei die optische Anordnung mindestens ein optisches Senderelement und mindestens ein optisches Empfangselement enthält und das ein Empfangssignal abgibt, das für die auftreffende Lichtmenge repräsentativ ist, wobei eine elektronische Auswertevorrichtung das Empfangssignal mit einem Sollwert vergleicht, und ein Alarmsignal erzeugt wird, wenn das Empfangssignal den vorgegebenen Schwellwert erreicht, daß die Temperatur an oder im Meldergehäuse gemessen und der zeitliche Verlauf der Temperatur mit dem zeitlichen Verlauf des Empfangssignals des optischen Empfangselements in Beziehung gesetzt wird und ein Betauungssignal erzeugt wird, wenn der Anstieg des Empfangssignals mit einem Temperaturanstieg korreliert. <IMAGE>
