Abstract (en)
[origin: DE102004023524B3] The smoke and mist detector device (10) has a closed chamber (14) with grilles at the ends (15,16) to admit smoke. A circuit board (18) at the bottom of the chamber supports a box (22) with an opening (24), containing a photosensor (20). A LED (28) for indirect illumination of the chamber is mounted under a chamfered opening (26) in the circuit board. Light from the LED may reach the photosensor by being scattered from smoke and mist particles. There is a temperature sensor (30) adjacent to the chamfered opening in the circuit board.
