[origin: WO2004076310A2] A carrier (1) for containers such as bottles and the like, especially for the return transport of empty goods, comprising an elongate carrier body (3) for receiving bottles. Said carrier also comprises a carrier bar (2) disposed on the top thereof and at least two hanging rail-type elements (4,5), which are used to receive several bottles in a successive manner, or individual receiving elements (19) which are arranged in a longitudinal direction at a distance from each other in order to receive respectively one bottle. The receiving elements are closed on one end or are provided with a retaining stop element. They are open on the other end, enabling bottles to be introduced. A retaining member (15,23) is provided on the open end in order to secure the necks of the bottles in the receiving element.
