Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2004076736A1] The invention relates to a method for dyeing a web of knitted fabric containing cellulose fibers. The aim of the invention is to make it possible to continuously dye the knitted fabric containing cellulose fibers in the spread state thereof using a dye padder and to dry and fix the dye in line in a downstream hot flue dyer. For this purpose, the knitted fabric is first caught along the vertical edges by continuous stentering chains and then transverse stripes of glue reinforcing the vertical edge areas are applied along the vertical edges that are held in the stentering chains. The glue is dried, the web is removed from the stentering chains and is spread and is continuously guided through the dye padder and the hot flue dyer basically like a woven web of fabric.
