Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1598213A2] The compass a thread adjusting spindle (4) passing through a compass leg (2) threaded sleeves (6). An adjustment wheel is connected with the thread adjusting spindle. A locking screw presses a blocking unit (12) into a screw thread of the spindle, where the blocking unit intersperses the sleeves transverse to a threaded hole (9) of the screw thread. The blocking unit is made from plastic.
