Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1598273A1] the packing machine has a supply device (1,2) for feeding in the containers (5) which when closed are discharged through a discharge device (11). The closing device (25) between the supply and discharge device is mounted at the side of the main transport path (8) moving the containers in and out. At least one of the containers to be closed is moved in a linear motion by a device into the closing device as a closed container is moved out. A transport mechanism (6,7) at the same time as closing of one container moves a closed container on from a pick up element whilst feeding in the next container.
