Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1598501A1] The drain comprises a base body (2) with ring-shaped plate part (4) and a central trough part (5) with cover plate (8). The cover plate is supported spaced above the plate part to define a circumferential inlet opening (10). The cover plate has on the top side freely upwardly projecting radially aligned vertical slats (11). In the ring area occupied by the slats the cover plate has a ring slit set radially outside of the outer edge of the trough. The plate part of the base body and the cover plate preferably have roughly the same outer diameter. The slats directly adjoin the outer edge of the cover plate by their outer edges.
