The turbo-supercharger (1) has a shaft (2) in a turbine housing (6) connecting a turbine wheel (3) to a compressor wheel (4), surrounded by the bearing housing (5) containing bearings for the shaft. Thermal insulation is provided for the shaft between the turbine wheel and the bearing. The thermal conductivity of this material is lower than that of the adjacent regions of the shaft.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Abgasturbolader (1) mit einer welle (2), die ein in einem Turbinengehäuse (6) angeordnetes Turbinenrad (3) und ein Verdichterrad verbindet, und mit einer dazwischen angeordneten Lagerung mit einem Lagergehäuse (5) und darin angeordneten Lagern für die welle (2), welcher dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß die Welle (2) zwischen Turbinenrad (3) und Lagerung wenigstens eine Wärmeisolierung (16, 17) aufweist, deren wärmedurchlässigkeit geringer ist als die der an die wärmeisolierung angrenzenden Bereiche der welle (2) und die den Wärmedurchgang durch die welle (2) behindert. <IMAGE>
