Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1598550A1] The fuel injection valve (1) has an actuator connected to a valve needle (3) having a valve closing body (4) acting with a valve seat surface (6). There is a spray aperture (7) in the valve seat body (5). The fuel flows through a bifurcation (39), in the region of which there is at least one by diverting element (40) having a diverting surface (42) directing the fuel towards the bifurcation.
