[origin: WO2004073435A1] The invention relates to an article of clothing (100) comprising a loincloth, which has a cord (3) around the hips, at least one loincloth part (1) hanging from said cord. The inventive article of clothing (100) is characterised in that it comprises a front part that runs between the legs and a rear part (2, 2a) attached to said front part, both parts being connected to the hip cord (3) at their opposite ends (a, e; f, i). The front loincloth part (1) covers at least partially the front part between the legs (2), the latter (2) terminating in an attachment above the pubic region and being connected to the hip cord by two tractive elements. In addition, at least the front loincloth part (1) is connected at both sides to the front part between the legs (2) by means of a respective connecting strap (5, 5a).
