Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004078525A1] The invention relates to a cable harness for motor vehicles in which a number of electric and/or optical lines are combined to form a bundle. When mounted, these lines are arranged between at least one control unit (2), said control unit being connected to a voltage source (3), and consumers (7) in order to transmit current and/or signals in a motor vehicle and/or in an additional vehicle that can be connected thereto. In order to simplify the design, a first bundle (1) of lines is provided that is bound by a common sheathing. Each line is connected, at one end thereof, to the control unit (2) and is introduced via the other end into a housing (G) of a distributor (4) in a moisture-tight manner. At least two bundles (5, 6), which have at least one line, are separate from one another and which continue onward, are, at one end thereof, introduced in a moisture-tight manner into the housing (G) of the distributor (4). Like the first bundle (1), these at least two bundles each have a common sheathing (M) and are connected, at their other ends, to the consumers (7). The conductors of the lines of the first bundle (1) and of the onward continuing bundles (5, 6) are, according to specified rules, connected to one another in a conductive manner inside the housing (G) of the distributor (4), and the housing (G) is designed so that it is completely moisture-tight.
