[origin: FR2852002A1] Process for pretreating sludge from a filtration or decantation unit. Process for pretreating sludge from a filtration or decantation unit comprises periodically performing the sequence of operations: (1) transfer, by aspiration or back-flushing, sludge (20), present in the unit into a vat (13), covered by a removable lid and fitted with holes (15) as well as a system (16) for gravity separation of liquid retained in (20); (2) allowing (20) to dry naturally by evaporation, until solid; (3) if the layer of (20) is thin enough to allow complete dehydration, then the first step is repeated, but if it is too thick, then water retained in the base of (13) is emptied out (through a valve) towards a filter unit; and (4) the contents of (13) are transferred to a special collection vehicle, and then (13) is reused. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) vat (13) for the process having a dark cover (14) that allows sunlight to increase the temperature inside (13); and (2) careening station, particularly for pleasure boats, that includes vat (13).
