[origin: WO2004081483A1] The invention relates to a pistol with a firing pin safety comprising a firing pin safety provided in the closing piece. In order to provide a simple and safe firing pin safety, a spring tongue (20) is mounted on an outer side surface of the closing piece (4), which forms a catch (23) projecting into the inner space (13) thereof, said catch coming to rest before a shoulder provided thereto when the firing pin (9) is in cocked position. The spring tongue (20) has a beard (24) projecting downward, which interacts with the trigger bar (8). The spring tongue (20) is configured as an integral piece with the ejector spring (40).
