Abstract (en)

The pressure pulse damper for a dosing pump (10), especially a fuel metering pump, comprises a compressible pulse damping component (28) around which flows the pressurized medium which is to be delivered. The pulse damping component is a hollow body of flexible material with a sealed cavity (32) filled with a compressible medium such as gas. The damping component is installed in a housing, with a flow chamber formed between the inner surface and pulse damping body. An independent claim is included for a dosing pump, and especially a fuel metering pump for motor vehicles, equipped with the proposed pressure pulse damper.
