Abstract (en)
A method for producing ice crystals in an aqueous fluid has a double walled cooling cylinder (2, 3) with a rotor with radial scrapers to remove ice crystals formed on the inner wall of the chamber. The rotor drive (17) is located through the top flange of the chamber via an elastic seal (20) and is connected to the rotor via a claw coupling (14, 15) with one part (15) connected to the drive and the other part to the rotor. The coupling accommodates any non circular movements of the rotor and replaces costly bearings.

Vorrichtung zum Erzeugen von Eiskristallen in einer wässrigen Lösung, mit wenigstens einer Einheit (27), bestehend aus einem durch ein Innenrohr (1) und ein Außenrohr (2) gebildeten Doppelrohr (1, 2), das mit Rohrstutzen (4, 5) zum Ein- bzw.-Ausleiten eines Kältemittels versehen ist, einem in dem Innenraum des Innenrohrs (1) angeordneten Rotor (12), der mit einer Mehrzahl von an der Innenwand des Innenrohrs (1) anliegenden Kratzern (11) versehen ist, einem das abzukühlende Fluid in den Innenraum des Innenrohrs (1) einführendes Rohrstück (8), einem das abgekühlte Fluid aus dem Innenraum des Innenrohrs (1) abführenden Rohrstück (10), einer im Bereich eines der Enden des Doppelrohrs (1, 2) im Innenraum des Innenrohr (1) angeordnete, die Taumelbewegungen des Rotors (12) aufnehmenden Bogenzahnkupplung (15), deren eines Stück mit dem Rotor (12) und deren anderes Stück mit einer durch einen das Doppelrohr (1, 2) verschließenden Deckel (7) geführten Welle (16) verbunden ist, und einem auf die Welle (16) wirkenden Antrieb (18).
