Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004082768A1] The invention relates to a sprinkler installation for railway vehicles (SFZ). The inventive installation comprises at least one liquid container (FBH) connectable to a pressure fluid container (DMB) by means of a pressure fluid line (DML) which can be pressurised, and a plurality of thermally switchable sprinkler jets (SDF, SDD) which are connectable to the liquid container by means of a liquid line (FLL). According to said invention, an alarm valve (AVE) electromechanically controlled by a fire detection device (BMA) is arranged in the pressure fluid line (DML) between the pressure fluid container (DMB) and the liquid container (FBH), said alarm valve being closed in normal state and open in alarm state in such a way that the liquid container (FBH) and the liquid line (FLL) leading to the sprinkle jets are pressurised in case of fire.
