[origin: WO2004083721A1] The invention relates to a lamp assembly (10) comprising a lamp housing (12, 14) and at least one lamp, in particular an arc lamp (16) or a discharge lamp arranged in the housing which, in the preferred embodiment, can be replaced and/or displaced with respect to a light output from the lamp housing. According to an inventive aspect, the lamp housing is made from several housing cells (12, 14) inserted into each other, thereby forming a multi-level heat insulation of external environment (30) or the surface (32) of the lamp housing with respect the internal space of the housing (16) which contains the lamp and is surrounded by the shells at least in places.
