[origin: EP1605202A2] The device has a mask (16) movable in rotation around an axis of rotation (18) and presenting an active side composed of two different portions. A part of the portions is used to provide two different sections for light beam emitted by a light source. A transition from one light beam section to the other light beam section is obtained by rotating the mask from one position to another position. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle equipping a headlight device.
