Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004083914A1] A wavelength filter comprising a light-transmitting solid material, and a holding material that holds the solid material at opposing planes formed on the solid material almost in parallel to each other and at planes other than the above opposing planes by means of a joining agent, and is higher in rigidity than the solid material, light being resonated between the opposing planes almost in parallel to each other, a wavelength to be determined by a light path length between the opposing planes being selected periodically, characterized in that the solid material is a double-refraction material, and its optical axis forms a specified angle with a normal to the opposing planes almost in parallel to each other. Accordingly, stable wavelength discriminating characteristics can be obtained even when the solid material is being held by the holding material.
