Disclosed is a method and a device for simulating CRT impulse type display on a liquid crystal display (LCD) in order to improve the display quality of the hold type display and eliminate the after image and the phenomenon of image blurring.The system combines the black line scanning of each line of the panel per frame with the switching-off of the backlight illumination during at least part of the black line scanning period.
