[origin: WO2004082751A1] The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for the titration of physiological measuring signals. The invention especially relates to a method and an arrangement for detecting and evaluating a measuring signal indicative of the respiratory gas flow of a sleeping person, in conjunction with the observation of sleep-related respiratory problems. The aim of the invention is to provide solutions to enable physiological characteristics relating to respiration during a sleep phase to be detected in such a way that the physiological state of the person examined can be evaluated with a high level of reliability and possible required basic conditions of treatment can be accurately adapted. According to a first variant, this is achieved by a method for providing an evaluation result which is indicative of the physiological state, on the basis of measuring signals relating to the respiration of a person. Evaluation characteristics are generated from the cited measuring signals, by means of a plurality of evaluation systems, and at least one evaluation result is generated within the framework of a result generation step based on said evaluation characteristics which are subjected to a combined analysis. The measuring signals are detected during titration sequences which are different according to the respiratory gas pressure level applied to the patient, and at least part of the evaluation characteristics or the evaluation result is generated while taking into account the respective titration sequence pressure.
