Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10314136B3] Device for holding a breathing mask on a protective helmet comprises fixing hooks (9) on both sides of the mask which are suspended in hook-receiving pockets on the outer side of the helmet. The fixing hooks are each attached to the mask via a length-adjustable flexible retaining strap (10). Stop elements (13) acting in a friction- and form-locking manner on the helmet are formed on the holding device in the region of the fixing hook to hold the fixing hook in the suspended position. Sliding elements (17) for automatic positioning of the fixing hook in the hook-receiving pocket on tightening the retaining strap are arranged offset from the stop elements and protrude over the stop elements.
