[origin: DE10311439A1] The assembly to spin and lay a band of synthetic filaments (3), to be formed into a nonwoven, has a melt spinning station (1), with a take-off (2) and a sieve laying surface (4). Two guide rollers (6.1,6.2) are in front of the laying surface, forming a gathering gap (7) between them to take the band of filaments. Two facing continuous belts (8.1,8.2) extend the gathering gap at the rollers towards the laying surface, powered to move in the filament movement direction. The guide rollers have a gas permeable mantle (11) and inner suction units, so that suction is applied to the mantle segment at the entry into the gap.
