[origin: WO2004083569A1] The inventive bow-like support consists of a gastight skin (1), which is subjected to the action of pressure medium and to which a plate-like and flexible compression member (2) is attached in an all-over manner. Said compression member is joined in a non-positive manner to each node element (3) at each of its ends. At least one pair of tensile bands (4) are also joined in a non-positive manner to both node elements (3) and they are placed around the skin (1) at least once while extending in opposite spiraling directions and are then tensioned. When loaded by a force F, the compression member (2) stabilized by the skin (1) is subjected to the action of compressive stress, and the tensile bands (4) are subjected to tensile stress.
