[origin: EP1607335A1] The bottle labelling machine includes a contact pressure device (11) with pressure element to press and smooth the label against the bottle. The contact pressure element (13) of an inactive labelling station (4,6) moves from its work position into a rest position at least slightly outside of the motion plane of the bottle. The non-active labelling station can be brought together with the pressure device from the work position to the rest and/or maintenance position.
