Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005019587A1] The principle of plastic windows with bonded glazing is already known. The above, however, were unsatisfactory due to either inadequate flexion or torsional stiffness of the casement construction, or the construction complexity or difficulty of assembly of the pane was too great. A window with casements, frame and stepped glazing is thus disclosed, whereby the casements are formed from casement profiles made from plastic, with an outer side and an inner side facing the interior of the room. The stepped glazing comprises an outer glazing projection and a glazing rebate region is provided between the stepped glazing and the casement. The casement profile has a multi-chambered hollow profile and comprises a fixing groove and a central functional chamber. The wall of the central functional chamber which faces the room interior also forms the outer wall of the fixing groove. The outer wall of the central functional chamber forms a bonding surface, for bonding the casement to the inner surface of the outer glass pane of the stepped glazing. The upper wall of the central functional chamber borders the glass rebate region, whilst the lower wall of the central functional chamber borders the rebate chamber running between the casement and frame.
