Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2852612A1] Process (P1) for producing vulcanizable or sulfurizable paper comprises exposing dry cellulosic fibers to high-energy radiation, separating and refining the fibers in an aqueous medium to produce a suspension, forming a web from the suspension, and dewatering and drying the web. An independent claim is also included for a process (P2) for producing vulcanizable or sulfurizable paper, comprising separating and refining cellulosic fibers contained in a mixture of fibers in an aqueous medium to produce a suspension, forming a web from the suspension, dewatering and drying the web, and exposing the resulting paper to high-energy radiation.
