[origin: WO2004086023A1] Disclosed is a sensor for determining the physical properties of a test gas, especially the concentration of a gas component or the temperature of a test gas, particularly the exhaust gas of internal combustion engines. Said sensor comprises a housing (11), a sensor element (12) that is accommodated in the housing (11) and is provided with a final section which is located at the test gas end and protrudes from the housing (11) and a final section (121) which is located at the connection end and supports at least one contact surface (13), and at least one conductor element (18) that contacts the at least one contact surface (13). In order to obtain low transition resistances at the electrical contact point and decoupling relative to mechanical stress, the contact surface (13) and the conductor element (18) are connected to each other by means of welding and are embedded in a ceramic material (19), at least in the area of the welding connection.
