Abstract (en)
In a process to make plastic bags from plastic foil, one outer side margin of each of two parallel layers (1, 2) of foil web are folded inwards and co-located to form a four-layer sandwich (4). The parallel foil webs are then heat welded to form bags (6) while leaving an aperture (10) in the side margin through which to insert ice guides. The lines between adjacent bags are set by perforated lines and the web discharged to a rolling station. An independent claim is also included for a roller as part of a rolling station.
