[origin: EP1612052A1] An image recording apparatus includes an image recording unit, a conveying path, a feed cassette, a feeding unit, and a separating unit. The feed cassette can accommodate a stack of recording media therein. The feeding unit feeds a recording medium from the stack on the feed cassette to the conveying path. The separating unit separates the recording medium from the stack and cooperates with the feeding unit to convey the separated recording medium upward to the conveying path. The conveying path includes a conveying-path member having a plate portion of a U-shape in a side view. The conveying-path member includes a plurality of rollers provided at a central portion of the conveying-path member in a widthwise direction perpendicular to a conveyance direction of the recording medium.
