Abstract (en)
Stones, especially facetted glass beads (1) with a flat back, are attached to leather with melt adhesive. At least 5, preferably 10 holes are made through the grained finish layer (3) into the base layer (4) to allow the adhesive to penetrate. The holes can be made by needles attached to a punch guided by a programmed plotter. An independent claim is also included for leather with stones attached with melt adhesive that penetrates into holes.
