Abstract (en)
A bath and an associated method for the conversion coating of articles made of aluminum and alloys thereof; the bath comprises at least one manganese (Mn) carrier in a aqueous solution with a non-basic pH; the method comprises cleaning the surface of an article made of aluminum or alloy thereof to be treated and converting a layer of the surface thus cleaned into a protective coating by applying the bath to the clean surface.
