Abstract (en)
The procedure, for use especially when connecting components such as semi-tubular coils to enamelled containers, consists of protecting the surfaces of the containers or components likely to be affected by decarburation or oxidation by subjecting them to a depression or an inert gas such as argon, carbon monoxide or a rare gas. Where the protected surfaces are the interior of hollow bodies or tubes they can be protected from the atmosphere by sealing them by welding, brazing or mechanical closures after applying a depression or inert gas.
