[origin: EP1612320A1] The apparatus has an iron (1) and a portable base (2) comprising a space (21) for locating the iron. A protecting shutter (4) occupies an opening position in which it is disposed laterally to the space and a closed position in which it covers the space. The shutter masks a set of units such as a container, a refueling panel and a trap, to be manipulated by a user to control access to the apparatus.
