[origin: EP1612335A2] The self propelled sweeping machine has a chassis (1) with a front mounted sweeper (4) having a variable operating width. The sweeper is connected via a suction hose (5) to a collector with a suction opening which can be moved between raised transport and lowered use positions. The suction opening (6) is movable longitudinally (L) of the machine when in the lowered position, dependent on the working width of the machine.
